As a single parent, finding affordable and fun activities to do with your kids during the summer holidays can be a challenge. Luckily, many restaurants across the country offer free or discounted kids' meals throughout this period. This can be a great way to save money while still enjoying a meal out with your family. Because nothing can send the mood south on a day out quite like hungry kids!

TOP TIP 

It’s important to note that while many restaurants offer free kids' meals, there are often restrictions on these deals. Not all restaurants participate in these deals, so it's always a good idea to call ahead and ask your local restaurant if they offer any family deals. Ask before you order so you don’t get an unwelcome surprise when the bill arrives, and if there’s a set menu for the offer, only show this one to your kids, or they might get ideas that are out of budget. (We all do it!)
