Wondering how to keep the kids (and you) happy this Christmas? The festive season can be a particularly challenging time for single parent families, what with splitting time between homes, keeping costs down and preventing burnout. But being a solo parent household doesn’t mean you can’t create magical memories for you and the kids. Here are a few ideas for Christmas activities for single parents in 2023.

Before we run down a few activity ideas for all the single parent families out there, a few festive reminders. The magic of Christmas isn’t measured in presents under the tree, matching pyjamas, or flashy days out at festive theme parks. It can be found in the small moments of connection, in cosy evenings at home watching Christmas films, or long luxurious evenings alone and recharging when your babies are with their other parent. Being a lone parent does not mean you’re alone, in fact, you’re one of millions of single parent families around the world, and finding connection with others in the same situation as you at this time of year can really help.
